Simi Valley Shooting Leaves Two Dead, Two Injured

Two people were killed and two others are listed in critical condition Tuesday following a brutal shooting at a tire store in Simi Valley, located 35 miles northwest of Los Angeles. Police found the victims when they responded to shots being fired at the Tire Pros location around 7:30 am Tuesday.

A 20-year-old man was in critical condition and a 37-year-old man was in fair condition at Simi Valley Hospital.

Despite the investigation still being in in its infancy, officials believe one of the dead was a customer while the other is probably the gunman. Officials are still trying to determine what tie the gunman had to the store and what triggered the shooting.

However, police believe the shooting appeared to stem from some sort of altercation that originated at the Newcastle Motors body shop a couple of doors down from the tire store.

Simi Valley, a city of 100,000, is often dubbed as one of the safest cities for its size in the country based on police statistics.
