(HOKU) shares jumped today on news that it entered an engineering services and technology transfer agreement with Dynamic Engineering Inc.The deal calls for Dynamic to provide design and engineering services as well as a technology license for Hoku Materials to build a trichlorosilane unit at its planned polysilicon plant in Pocatello, Idaho. Shares also rose 46% on 6/14/07 on the company’s announcement that they inked a $678 million contract for the sale and delivery of materials to solar energy company Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. Hoku is building a polysilicon plant in Idaho and plans to raise about $150 million in debt to fund the plant, which may cost about $260 million to build.
Pure H2O, Inc. (PURH) announced today that it has been approached by several interested parties with regards to Canadian distribution of its soon to be commercialized under sink unit. Pure H2O, Inc. shares were also boosted on the announcement Pure's plans to market a North American residential under-sink water treatment unit, as well as the development of a comprehensive Installation, Service and Warranty (ISW) Division. Pure H2O, Inc. recently announced the successfully completion of a series of agricultural tests, using its water treatment systems.
