Asa Coon, Success Tech shooter, had past of violence

The 14-year-old Success Tech gunman, Asa Coon, had a past of violence and mental problems. As details of the troubled teen emerge, his classmates admit he threatened to shoot up the school.

Coon was charged with domestic violence at the age of 12. His mother called police after he slapped her around. He was also put on several medications for mental problems.

It turns out Coon’s anger was sparked by an argument in school about God. He and another child got into a fight over the issue, Coon saying he didn’t believe in God. Both children were suspended, but Coon refused to let the issue go.

“I’m going to get you,” he threatened the other student. “I will get you.”

Coon kept his word, but kids said they didn’t actually think he would do it. Police say Coon held two guns in his hand a he fired them in the falls. Only four people were injured in the Cleveland shooting, two students and two teachers, before he put the gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger.
