LL Cool J and Jay-Z Are Not Battling

Hip hop legend LL Cool J has recently stated that he is still signed with record label Def Jam, and is not feuding with Def Jam Records president Jay-Z. Although LL Cool J stated that he is indeed still “unsatisfied” with how the label is handling its music business he still plans to work with the label to distribute his last music project.

The rapper reportedly has a new album entitled ‘Exit 13’ produced by 50 Cent and is set for release in 2008, but he is concerned on how his label will promote it.

“Everything that's ever been a success up there is a product of me, and I've given birth to it. I didn't personally attack anyone on the song ‘Queens', but at the same time I have the right to speak on something I helped build. When Def Jam co-founder, Russell Simmons feels something, he speaks on it as Russell Simmons; LL speaks on it through his music."

LL Cool J’s upcoming album ‘Exit 13’ will be the 13th and final album on his record deal with Def Jam Recordings which is a deal that has lasted for more than twenty years.
