T.I. Arrested on Gun Charges Before BET Hip Hop Awards

Atlanta based rapper T.I. was arrested this past weekend by agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms on charges of buying illegal machine guns earlier in the week.

The rapper was scheduled to perform at the 2^nd annual BET Hip Hop Awards but could not make his appearance due to being arrested minutes before the actual award ceremony.

T.I. was scheduled to perform alongside Wyclef Jean for their nominated collaboration, ‘You Know What It Is,’ but with T.I. missing in action, the show's host, Katt Williams, performed instead along side T.I. label mates from Grand Hustle Entertainment.

"I really don't know everything that happened,” rapper Mike Jones told MTV Radio. "But everyone showed him love and held him down the right way. I was expecting to see his performance as well, but a lot of stuff went on and I don't know exactly what happened yet. Whatever's going on, we got much love for Tip.”
