Globalism Versus Protectionism

Americans Perplexed Over Bush’s Illogical Immigration Agenda

By Daniel Gilbert, GOP Candidate for President of the United States

While conservatives were trying to rationalize that the President must have his reasons, they were extremely perplexed and disillusioned by his lack of regard to secure the homeland. Most conservatives and some liberals were scratching their heads trying to make sense out of Bush’s strong desire to wage war, while not protecting the American people at home.

The curtain is being pulled back on Bush’s Global Agenda and this agenda is the creation   of the NAU, and to secure votes from future aliens, and to aid big business in paying lower wages to immigrants, while displacing Americans to unemployment and poverty.

Three thousand Americans died from a terrorist attack on our country but while waging war on the enemy, President Bush left our borders wide open to terrorists who could have been quite successful in simply walking over the border with various forms of Weapons of Mass Destruction with which to attack the American people.

Because President Bush has not secured our borders, America is simply not safe.

Neither President Bush nor Congress has upheld their Constitutional mandate to  “insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense and promote the General Welfare.

The Sovereignty our forefathers died for could be melded into a tri-country union, like the      European Union, and America can kiss our sovereignty goodbye.  If the NAU comes to   fruition, we may very well be answering to an overall tri-country ruling authority, our borders that separate the three countries will disappear and the three countries will become one security bloc – one political and economic country.

When illegals obtain citizenship, they can qualify for welfare.  The additional cost to the American taxpayers will be in the neighborhood of $30 billion. The bill may also allow, under certain conditions, for Americans to be fired in order to hire foreign workers.

When America was attacked on 9-11, President Bush demonstrated great determination and courage in a time when we needed it most. I agreed with his decision to go to the source of the evil that had been visited upon us.

It has always been American policy to fight our wars as far away from our borders as possible. President Bush grasped that immediately. But before we could strike back, it was obvious that we had to deal with the immediate local threat.

Because our US commercial aircraft were used as human tactical missiles, our primary focus had to be to secure our airports and air traffic. This was done, quickly and efficiently. All flights were grounded. Airport security was substantially increased. With the consent of Congress, the Department of Homeland Security was quickly established.

All of these efforts, however, focused inward. There was very little done to stem the flood of illegal aliens crossing our Southern border.

Three thousand Americans died from a terrorist attack on our country but while waging war on the enemy, President Bush left our borders wide open to terrorists who could have been quite successful in simply walking over the border with various forms of WMD’s to be perpetrated on to the American people.

Because President Bush did not secure our borders, America was and is plain and simply not safe. Because of President Bush’s compassion for the plight of illegal aliens, and his oft-stated but erroneous belief that there are jobs “Americans just won’t do,” regular U.S. citizens have been forced to ban together like the Minutemen of old to form a common-sense border patrol.

Exercising our First Amendment rights, today citizens are petitioning our government for the redress of grievances. Specifically, that neither President Bush nor Congress has upheld their Constitutional mandate to “insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense and promote the General Welfare...” of our nation. In so doing, he has undermined his position with the very people who placed him in office, true conservatives.

While conservatives were trying to rationalize that the President must have his reasons, they were extremely perplexed and disillusioned by his lack of regard to secure the homeland. Most conservatives and some liberals were scratching their heads trying to make any kind of sense out of Bush’s strong desire to wage war, while not protecting the American people at home.

Is it coincidental that Americans are now hearing terms like “NAFTA SUPER HIGHWAY”, NAU, North American Free Trade Agreement, Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC), North American Court of Justice, North American Trade Tribunal, North American Parliament, North American Investment Fund and Security and Prosperity Partnership?

Let me define these terms:

NAFTA Super Highway: A Super Highway to be built from Mexico through the US and Canada.

NAU: (North American Union) The union of Mexico, The United States and Canada.

The North American Free Trade Agreement: Under this agreement, the creation and expansion of the NAU may be enacted to build a political and economic entity without congressional supervision and consent.

Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC): A highway system connecting the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

North American Court of Justice: A court that would have the power to overrule decisions of the United Sates Supreme Court.

North American Trade Tribunal: An independent quasi-judicial body that can carry out statutory tasks in a sovereign and neutral manner.

North American Parliament: A national representative body having supreme legislative powers within the NAU.

The curtains are being pulled back on Bush’s Global Agenda and this agenda is the creation of the NAU, to secure votes from future amnestied aliens, to aid big business in paying lower wages to immigrants, while displacing American workers to a state of unemployment and poverty.

The Sovereignty our forefathers died for could be melded into a tri-country union, like the European Union, and America can kiss our sovereignty goodbye. If the NAU comes to fruition, we may very well be answering to an overall tri-country ruling authority, our borders that separate the three countries will disappear and the three countries will likely become one security bloc – one political and economic country.

Our government is at the door of granting mass amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, partly due to a plan thrust upon us by Mexican administrators who stand to gain billions from alien’s salaries shifted into the economy of Mexico.

While the Mexican Government rakes in the cash, under the amnesty bill, recipients will be given Social Security benefits for their illegal work, which will cost billions in the depletion of money from the Social Security Trust Fund. In addition, when illegal workers obtain citizenship, they will qualify for welfare. The additional cost to American taxpayers will be in the neighborhood of $30 billion. The bill may also allow, under certain conditions, for American workers to be fired in order to hire foreign workers.

When did we give up our right to defend our borders against invasion? When I joined the U.S. Army in 1968, I raised my right hand and took an oath that started with these words,

“I, Daniel Gilbert, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same.”

I have never been released from that oath. I have never wanted to be released from it, and I will never accept the idea that we could compromise our sovereignty and give up our Constitution to form any type of North American union.

President Bush is wrong on illegal aliens and the Senate was wrong to bring the Amnesty bill to the floor for debate. The American people, however, are right in expressing their overwhelming displeasure in these actions.

Information on Dan Gilbert:

In 2000 I voted for President Bush and the Republicans. I had high hopes that with Republicans in control of the legislative and executive branches that real change would occur in our government. I thought that the principles that the Republicans stood for would guide the Republicans to do what was best for the country. I thought I would see a higher moral standard. What we got was corruption, bribes, moral decline, hearings with no action, tax breaks for big business, McCain Feingold and last year 15,000 earmarks. We got a Republican majority in the Senate and a President who thinks the best way to handle the illegal alien problem is to give them amnesty. And just last month we had a great break through with the North Koreans where they agreed to not do what they agreed to not do under Clinton. How much will all this cost the American citizens this time?

There has to be a change in Presidential and Congressional leadership to affect change in this country. There has to be a way to get the professional politicians out and statesmen in. Those politicians who vote only for the sake of the party, lobbyist or big business have to be removed. To bring about substantial changes in the government true statesmen must control the House, Senate and the White House.
