Pop singer Teresa Brewer dies at 76

United States pop singer Teresa Brewer has died at the age of 76. Brewer suffered from neuromuscular disease PSP for several years. She died Wednesday morning in New York.

Brewer began music at a young age. Her first professional debut was at the age of 2 on a local radio station, “Uncle August’s Kiddie Show.” She toured with the Major Bowes Amateur Hour from age 5 to 12. 

 

Brewer made her first national break through as a teenager. She help write pre-rock ‘n’ roll and hit the charts in 1950 with “Music Music Music.” Brewer’s other popular songs include “Til I Waltz Again With You” and “I Love Mickey.”

 

Brewer is survived by four daughters and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
