The remains of missing San Digeo-area teen Amber DuBois
were found Saturday. Authorities announced Sunday that human skeletal remains
found in Pala, a rural area in San Diego County, were positively identified as
those of 14-year-old DuBois, who went missing February 13, 2009 while walking
home from school.
No other details were released. The discovery comes a
week after the rape and murder of 17-year-old San Diego teen Chelsea King.
Convicted sex offender John Albert Gardner was arrested and charged in King’s
death. Authorities said they were also investigating Gardner in DuBois’
disappearance.
