Casey Anthony Trial Set for May 2011

A trial for Casey Anthony, a Florida mom accused of murdering her 3-year-old daughter, is set for May 2011. On Monday, Judge Stan Strickland announced Anthony’s trial will begin on May 9.

Anthony, 23, is being held in an Orange County Jail on charges of first-degree murder in the death of her daughter Caylee Anthony.

Caylee disappeared in July 2008. Her remains were found on December 11 in an empty lot located less than half a mile from the Orlando home where she lived with her mother and grandparents.

Anthony claims a babysitter named Zenaida Gonzalez kidnapped Caylee.
