The Talbots, Inc. (NYSE:TLB) has announced that it has promoted Lizanne Kindler to the position of Executive Vice President of General Merchandise Manager. Ms. Kindler will be responsible for overseeing the merchandise strategy and direction for the company’s core apparel, shoe and accessories businesses. She will report to the company’s Chief Executive Officer Trudy Sullivan. Ms. Kindler has served as the company’s Senior Vice President of Merchandising of General Merchandise Manager since she first joined the company in January of 2008. Previous to her time at Talbots, Kindler served as the Senior Vice President, General Merchandise Manager of Ann Taylor Loft.

The Talbots, Inc. (Talbots) is a specialty retailer and direct marketer of women’s apparel, shoes, and accessories. The Company operates stores in the United States and Canada. Jill brand business to Jill Acquisition LLC, an affiliate of Golden Gate Capital.
