Robert Chambers Jr., infamous “Preppy Killer,” Back In Jail on Drug Charges

Robert Chambers Jr., the infamous “Preppy Killer” who, at age 19, killed 18-year-old Jennifer Levin in New York’s Central Park in 1986, was arrested on Monday night on charges related to selling cocaine.

Undercover cops had been investigating the building for several months after noticing heavy drug traffic. Over that course of time agents purchased more than a half pound of cocaine from the convicted killer.

Now 41, Chambers was released from jail in 2003 after serving 15 years following a guilty plea to first degree manslaughter. If convicted on the felony drug charges he could find himself behind bars for more than 20 years.
