NBA Schedule Tuesday March 9: Kobe and the Lakers Look to End Three-Game Skid, Magic Gunning for Sixth Straight
Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers are in unfamiliar territory as a three-game losing streak hangs over their heads for the first time since Pau Gasol put on a purple and gold jersey in 2008. The Lakers will have a shot at ending that slide on Tuesday night as they host the Toronto Raptors, a team still trying to keep their playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
While Kobe wants to end a streak Dwight Howard wants to keep one going as his Orlando Magic have collected five wins in a row and could snag number six on Tuesday with a win over the LA Clippers. Orlando has climbed to within 5 ½ games of the Cleveland Cavaliers for the number one seed in the Eastern Conference and the team has been rolling since Vince Carter has found his role.
The Miami Heat and Charlotte Bobcats meet on Tuesday in a key matchup between Eastern Conference teams battling for a playoff berth. Right now Dwyane Wade has the Heat in but they hold just a one-game advantage over the Bobcats who are sitting on the outside at the moment.
