There was a 60 percent chance of rain that could put a stop to Discovery’s take off, but NASA said the weather had improved. “At this point in the count, we’re on schedule, our systems are all good and we’re in great shape,” said National Aeronautics and Space Administration test director Steve Payne.
NASA has given the go ahead for the launch that is scheduled for today at 11:38 a.m.
