No Contract Extensions for Jeter, Rivera, or Girardi Until After Season

In compliance with team policy, the New York Yankees will not discuss contract extensions with Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, or Joe Girardi until after the end of the season.  Hal Steinbrenner says that he has “a great relationship with them all,” but that he will not change his business policies.  As a result, any current Yankees can forget about contract extensions for the time being.
