CEO Daniel Amos' of Aflac Inc.(NYSE:AFL) had a bit of a pay increase of 22 percent in 2009, according to a calculation of figures released in a authoritarian filing. Amos received a compensation package valued at $13.2 million last year.

Amos' 2009 pay package came during a year when Aflac Inc. earned $1.5 billion, or $3.19 per share. The company's revenue rose to $18.25 billion from $16.55 billion. Amos' salary rose 3 percent to nearly $1.4 million in 2009. Amos' boost in total compensation came from the payout of a performance-based cash bonus totaling more than $4.1 million.
