The Michigan State Spartans will begin their Big Ten conference tournament without guard Chris Allen after the junior was suspended indefinitely for what coach Tom Izzo said was a failure to meet responsibilities to teammates.
Allen has averaged 9.1 points per game for the #11 Spartans and regularly starts for the team.
Izzo did not say how long the suspension would stretch but Allen will miss at least the first game of the Big Ten tournament, a game in which the Spartans will face the winner of the Minnesota-Penn State matchup.
