Man Arrested for Tying Noose around a Tupac Wax Statue

Police in DeKalb County, Georgia have arrested one individual and are investigating a cycle of racial attacks at the Tupac Center for the Arts, after vandals recently tied a noose around the neck of a Tupac statue located in the museum.

 

According to the police several attacks have occurred with the Tupac statue.

 

On one particular occasion, vandals drew crosses and wrote rants about Hurricane Katrina and various record labels on the Tupac artwork.

 

The attacks are being investigated as “hate crimes” by the De Kalb County Sheriff's Office.

 

Tupac is recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest selling rap artist, with over 75,000,000 albums sold worldwide, including over 50,000,000 in the United States alone.
