Firefighters Gain Ground and Begin to Extinguish the Fires
Destination Villas homeowners in the San Diego area are reporting a break in the high winds that have fueled the wildfires since last weekend. Improving weather allowed fire crews to make important strides in fighting the San Diego wildfires that have claimed 1500 homes and businesses from Ventura to the North, all the way to Mexico in the south.
The winds died down to 21 mph from over 100 mph, giving firefighters an opportunity to gain ground and begin to extinguish the fires.
