Jeff Bridges and Sandra Bullock Win Their First Oscars

Jeff Bridges and Sandra Bullock were the two big winners at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards on Sunday night.  They took home Oscars for Best Actor and Best Actress in a leading role, respectively.  Bridges won the award for the movie Crazy Heart, while Bullock won Best Actress for her role in The Blind Side.  It was Jeff Bridges’ first Academy Award, although he had been nominated several times, dating back to 1971.  Sandra Bullock, on the other hand, never had to endure the years of disappointment; this was the first Oscar nomination of her career.
