Gospel Singer Donnie McClurkin Defends himself at Barack Obama’s Gospel Concert

Ex-gay gospel singer Donnie McClurkin recently performed at Sen. Barack Obama’s gospel concert, this past Sunday in Columbus, Ohio.

 

Donnie McClurkin was reported as attacked and criticized by gay activist against his previous relationships with men.

 

According to CNN as the concert was about to close, Donnie McClurkin stated “Don’t call me a bigot or anti-gay when I have suffered the same feelings.”

 

Sen. Obama was not present at the gospel concert but appeared on a videotaped message to the crowd.

 

The Gospel concert, “Embrace the Change! Gospel Series,” was aimed at boosting Obama’s religious black voters in the South Carolina market. The performance featured Donnie McClurkin, Mary Mary, Hezekiah Walker and many more.
