The 2010 Scotts Turf Builder Cornhole Classic continues in Bristol, TN March 19th, 20th and 21st.
Speedway Motorsports Inc. and Scotts Turf Builder have selected the American Cornhole Organization, ACO, to run Cornhole Tournaments throughout the 2010 race season. Two 64 team double-elimination tournaments will be run on Friday and Saturday of each race weekend with the Championship match on Sunday morning.
Along with the tournaments there will be free play, long-toss and air-mail challenges throughout the day.
“Our Atlanta event was a huge success where thousands of fans stopped by and threw some bags for the Speedway Children’s Charity” said Joe Montgomery, Director of Special Events for the ACO. “We anticipate HUGE crowds in Bristol as we have some really special surprises for our fans at the Scotts Turf Builder GameZone. Let’s just say if you are a fan of the Legends that will be running Saturday night, you will want to be front and center in the Scotts Turf Builder Gamezone!”
All pre-race registration can be done through Speedway Children’s Charities web site at www.speedwaycharities.org. Just click on the Bristol tab and go to events to register. Registration is limited so get in early to ensure your team a spot. Cost is $40/team . You can register for both tournaments if you like. Walk up registration will be allowed if spots are available on a first come, first serve basis in the Scotts Turf Builder GameZone starting Friday, March 5th at 9am.
The prize packages that SMI, Speedway Motorsports, Inc., has put together for Speedway Children’s Charities are incredible. Cash, SUITE tickets to the Irwin Tools night race in Bristol, Cornhole Sets, and trophies will be awarded.

Mr. Montgomery adds “The best part of the Scotts Turf Builder Cornhole Classic Tournaments is that all proceeds will benefit the Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities dedicated to assisting children’s organizations in the Bristol, TN area.”
"Our tournaments then move to Texas Motor Speedway in mid April and then off to Charlotte for two weekends of cornhole tailgating at both the All Star weekend and the Coca-Cola 600 in May," said Joe.
