Tropical Storm Noel Hovers Over Cuba, Dominican Republic and Haiti Continue to Suffer

Tropical Storm Noel remains over Cuba on Tuesday, dumping heavy rains on the island but causing little in the way of destruction.

The same can not be said for the island of Hispaniola as the Dominican Republic and Haiti continue to suffer from the downpours that could eventually amount to 30 inches in some areas. Widespread flooding and mudslides have led to the reports of at least 16 deaths in the Dominican Republic alone and several more people are listed as missing.

No reports of death have been announced in Haiti but that could change when the storm finally passes and order is restored.

Tropical Storm Noel is expected to remain over Cuba throughout the day before moving towards the Bahamas and possibly heading towards Florida.
