HolidayLEDs.com Donates LED Christmas Lights to Jackson Township Pennsylvania

Jackson Township to Use LED Christmas lights to Raise Money for its Holiday Display.

HolidayLEDs.com, a new ecommerce company specializing in LED holiday lights, announced that it will donate 1 case of its LED Christmas lights to Jackson Township in support of its Light-Up Night and Festival of Trees which will take place next month.  “We are always looking for ways to help communities and introduce people to the benefits of LED holiday lights,” said Philip C. Curtis, co-owner of HolidayLEDs.com.

LED Christmas lights are 80-99% more efficient than traditional incandescent holiday lights and will last for more than 50,000 hours.  “Our lights are very energy-efficient and safe too,” added Curtis who stated that his company’s LED Christmas tree lights operate at only 1 degree above ambient temperature.  In addition to the energy-efficiency and safety advantages of LED holiday lights, they are also very durable too.  The LED bulb is covered in a super durable epoxy plastic that is nearly indestructible.

A recent study conduct by the U.S. Department of Energy concluded that a mere 20% shift to LED holiday lights by American households would conserve 400 GWh of electricity each year.  The Department of energy report states that Americans currently consume about 2220 GWh of electricity to power holiday lights each year.

“We are very pleased that HolidayLEDs.com has offered its lights to us and has helped support our holiday event” said David M. Hirko, Township Manager of Jackson Township.  Hirko plans to use the lights in a raffle to raise money for the community event.
