Carrie Underwood Tops Billboard Charts with Debut of "Carnival Ride"

Popular country singer Carrie Underwood topped the Billboard charts with her most recent album "Carnival Ride" debuting at number one.

The album has reportedly sold 527,000 copies in the United States.

Underwood’s recent album success on the Billboard 200 is marked as the best sales week for a female solo country artist since Shania Twain's "Greatest Hits" started with 530,000 in November 2004.

‘Carnival Ride’ was released on October 23, 2007; hit singles off of the album include ‘So Small’ and ‘I Told You So’.
