ALL TOGETHER NOW! Practical and Inspiring Resources for All-Ages Learning
Dorothy Henderson has written an encouraging and helpful book on intergenerational learning that provides the resources to facilitate this valuable practice, both at church and at home. People looking for help in developing an all –ages learning program will be heartened by the wealth of practical advice that Learning God’s Stories Together provides.
The book is in two parts. The first part explains the theory and practice of all-ages learning. Dorothy opens our eyes to its myriad benefits: It’s fun! It builds community. It lets us hear the points of view of those we might not ordinarily mingle with. The ideas are presented in an easily accessible style that will fit with almost any congregation or group, large or small.
Part Two consists of 20 story sessions. Each session contains suggestions for gathering, telling the story, discussing the story, and for exploring and making each story part of your life. Throughout, Dorothy’s tone is friendly and encouraging, and her enthusiasm around embracing this rewarding style of learning is infectious.

Learning God’s Stories Together
INTERGENERATIONAL PROGRAM FOR CHURCH AND HOME
BY DOROTHY HENDERSON, WITH LISA-DAWN MACKENZIE
In praise of Learning God’s Stories Together
In Learning God’s Stories Together, Dorothy Henderson advocates for all-ages learning in the church, the only institution in our culture where all generations come together at least in the same building. Her clearly focused presentation of the who’s, why’s, and how’s of all-ages learning is a much-needed resource that helps both clergy and lay leaders to understand the urgency of intergenerational ministry. The sessions following her descriptions of all-ages learning are easy to use, straightforward plans that can be put into action even by those with little experience. May this book find its way into the hand of church and home group leaders everywhere!
