Grandparenting the New Trend

The average age a person becomes a grandparent is 45. In addition, the vast majority of grandparents do not live in the same city as their grand children; hence, they are "long-distance grandparents. Grandparents are not just sitting by the fire or living with their kids anymore. Grandparents are traveling, working, and experiencing themselves to a greater degree than ever before. People are thinking about grandparenting more and missing it when they are not able to be near their grandchildren due to their work, geographical or other constraints. These trends indicate the topicality of Ralph Milton’s new book The Spirituality of Grandparenting.

Milton paints a real story of Grandparenting that is not a "walk in the roses". "The book is a celebration of grandparenting, says Milton. He also notes the spiritual connection that can form between a grandparent and grandchild, hence the name The Spirituality of Grandparenting. This book is the latest addition to the beautifully and lavishly illustrated The Spirituality of… series.
