Albert, Texas for Sale to Highest Bidder as Town of Four Looks for New Owner

Albert, Texas, you might not be able to find it on a map but you can buy it on e-Bay. The tiny Texas town now has a virtual “For Sale” sign on its 13-acre property with the current population of four residents expecting nearly $200,000 for the spot.

Albert comes complete with an 80-year-old icehouse and a community center that was once a school house attended by President Lyndon Johnson.

Current owner Bobby Cave seems to think its time for some fresh blood to step into Albert, located about an hour north of San Antonio in Gillespie County. Cave was quoted as saying of the town “It's doing exactly as I wanted it to do. We're open every weekend, and I think it's time for the next guy to take it to the next step.”
