Don Imus Returning to Airwaves as New York’s WABC-AM Sets December Date

Don Imus will be bringing his controversial style back to the radio airwaves beginning Dec. 3, just nine months after making racist and sexist comments that seemingly ended his career.

It was back in April that Imus set off a firestorm amongst civil rights activists and women’s organizations after he called the Rutgers women’s basketball team “nappy-headed hos” while on the air.

Shortly after the comment was made Imus was out of a job as his New York syndicated show on WFAN-AM dropped him after protests screamed for his firing.

Imus will remain in New York but will be carried by WABC-AM.  His morning show wil begin on Dec. 3
