United Therapeutics Corporation (NASDAQ: UTHR) up 37.5% on 14.5 million shares traded.

On Nov. 1st, the company announced its results of operations for the quarter ended September 30, 2007. Total revenues for the third quarter of 2007 were $59.0 million, up 46% from $40.4 million for the third quarter of 2006. Pro forma earnings corresponding to our Company-wide Milestone measuring GAAP earnings before income taxes, depreciation, amortization and stock option expenses (EBITDASO), were $26.6 million for the third quarter of 2007, up 35% from $19.7 million for the third quarter of 2006. Net income for the third quarter of 2007 was $14.8 million, or $0.70 per basic share, up 74% from $8.5 million, or $0.37 per basic share, in the third quarter of 2006. Gross margins from sales were $52.2 million in the third quarter of 2007, as compared to $36.2 million in the third quarter of 2006. The increases in revenues and gross margins resulted primarily from growth in sales of our lead product, Remodulin.
