Jay-Z's "American Gangster" Album Releases Tuesday

Rapper/CEO Jay-Z's new album "American Gangster" will be released Tuesday. The album is inspired by the film "American Gangster", which stars Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. The album is on Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam Records, whom Jay-Z serves as CEO and Prsident of.

The album is not the soundtrack for the movie, which also comes out on Tuesday, but an album that became an inspiration to Jay-Z to make another album with the same theme.

The album also features Lil' Wayne, Beyonce', Nas, and Beanie Sigel.

Thus far, the album has produced two radio singles: "Blue Magic" featuring Pharrell and "Roc Boys (And The Winner Is...).

The video for "Roc Boys" is expected to be released this week.

Jay-Z is also opening a five-city tour in which he is performing just songs from his upcoming album. It starts Nov. 6 in Los Angeles at the House of Blues and ends in New York at the esteemed Apollo Theater.
