Ron Paul Campaign Adds $4 Million in 24 Hours as Internet Activists Raise the Bar

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul added an additional $4 million to his fourth quarter fundraising campaign on Monday after his internet activists pushed for a one-day drive to raise as much money as possible.

The call for a one-day fundraiser was not introduced by Ron Paul but rather, was undertaken by his large internet following.

According to the Ron Paul 2008 Hope for America Web site, the Texas congressman has already raised over $7 million in the fourth quarter, and is well on its way to surpassing his goal of $12 million by Dec.31.

Paul was the only Republican candidate that raised more money in the third quarter than in the second quarter, and his fourth quarter total has already surpassed his third quarter contributions.
