Interest rates have barely budged in the bond market ahead of the Federal Reserve's meeting on interest rates. Policymakers aren't expected to raise the Fed's benchmark rate from record low levels at their meeting Tuesday. Traders will be looking for any hint of when the Fed might start hiking rates.

The yield on the 10-year Treasury note maturing in February 2020 has risen Monday to 3.71 percent from 3.70 percent late Friday. Its price is unchanged at 99 10/32. The yield of the 10-year note is important because it is linked to interest rates on mortgages and other consumer loans.
