Athena Silver Corporation (OTC:AHNR) has announced that its subsidiary, Athena Minerals, Inc. has entered into a 20 year mining lease with a purchase option for a group of patented claims called the Langtry claims in the Calico Mining District of San Bernardino County. Pursuant to the terms of the lease, Athena will need to make annual lease payments in addition to other financial commitments. The company filed an 8-K with the SEC in regards to the acquisition on March 15, 2010. The lease and option agreement will supersede the Purchase and Escrow Agreement previously announced on December 4, 2009.

Athena Silver Corporation (Athena Silver), formerly Golden West Brewing Company, Inc., operates through its subsidiary. Athena Minerals, Inc. (Athena Minerals) is the wholly owned subsidiary of the Company. Effective January 5, 2009, Athena Silver announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Athena Minerals has entered into an agreement pursuant, to which the Company has an option to acquire certain property located in San Bernardino County, California (the Property). The subject Property is a 413.22 acre group of patented mining claims (20 x 20.66 acres) located in the Calico Mining District. This property is located at the base of the Calico Mountains northwest of Barstow, in San Bernardino County, California.
