As the crew’s Commander, Pamela A. Melroy became just the second woman to land a space shuttle.
Among the accomplishments completed during their time at the international space station was a repair to a solar wing that had become badly damaged. Considered a highly dangerous job, the repairs were made without a hitch. The crew also installed a pressurized compartment inside the space station dubbed Harmony.
While the seven-member crew was happy to be back, Clayton Anderson may have been a little more anxious to return.
