Meatloaf Cancels European Tour after cyst diagnosis

American rock singer Meatloaf has recently been diagnosed with a cyst on his vocal cords and has canceled the remaining 11 dates of his Three Bats European tour.

According to the rock veteran’s website, this type of medical issue usually requires surgery but Meatloaf will take voice therapy for the first stages to establish whether he will need to undergo an operation. It will be up to a total of six weeks before it is known what course of action may be required.

“I was really looking forward to capping off a great year and celebrating the start of the holidays with the fans. But I have to do what the doctors tell me so I can look forward to healing and coming back strong in 2008”, states Meatloaf.

Meatloaf released “Bat out of Hell” in 1977 the album has sold over 37 million copies to date.
