Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley win big at CMA Awards

Carrie Underwood and Kenny Chesney won the top honors at the Country Music Awards last night. Underwood took home her second female vocalist of the year award and single of the year for “Before he Cheats.”

“God has blessed me with so many wonderful things in my life,” Underwood said as she accepted her awards, “and I will spend my entire life trying to figure out why.” 

 

Kenny Chesney also took home a top honor after winning his second straight entertainer of the year award. “I love country music and I love doing what I do,” he said.

 

Brad Paisley won male vocalist of the year, and Sugarland won vocal duo of the year. Taylor Swift, 17, also took home an award for newcomer of the year. “This is definitely the highlight of my senior year,” Swift joked.
