Avril Lavigne Preparing for 2008 tour

Pop star Avril Lavigne hitting the road next spring to support her last album, "Best Damn Thing.”

The North American tour is set to start in March 2008, with stops in Toronto, Chicago and Texas.

"Best Damn Thing," topped the US album chart in April 2007. The lead single, "Girlfriend," also shot to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Last year, Avril Lavigne married Sum 41's Deryck Whibley.
