Chemical Spill Causes Evacuation at Georgia Tech

A chemical spill at Georgia Tech has led to evacuations inside the Science and Technology building and the arrival of a Haz/Mat team to address the situation.

The spill occurred on the second floor of the building this afternoon and Haz/Mat was on the scene shortly before 1:00 p.m. Officials have not said what type of chemical was spilled.

There were reports of one minor injury but it is not known if that was related to the spill or the evacuation.
