Madeleine McCann: Gerry McCann text messages investigated

Police are investigating suspicious text messages found on Gerry McCann’s phone sent and received on the night his daughter Madeleine McCann was abducted. Portugal investigators are trying to find out who Gerry was talking to during the time his daughter went missing.

Police are asking for Gerry and Kate McCann’s phone records, but have not received them yet as the public prosecutor has refused to give his approval on the letters of appeal until stronger evidence is found.

Kate and Gerry have been suspects in their daughter’s disappearance after police believed they found traces of Madeleine’s DNA in a car the McCann’s rented 25 days after the 4-year-olds disappearance.
