Children’s Sunglasses Recalled Due to Unsafe Levels of Lead in Paint

Dollar General has recalled more than 50,000 children’s sunglasses after it was determined that the paint used in the eyewear contained an unsafe level of lead.

While sold in multiple colors, only the yellow children’s sunglasses were being recalled. The sunglasses have been sold at Dollar General stores from March 2005 through October 2007.

The yellow sunglasses recalled have a UPC #400007860896 and have the word “CHINA” printed on the left side of their frame.
