A view of British Astronomy, with News, Views and Interviews

A new AFM*Radio monthly series on Astronomy.FM, Under British Skies airs on the third Sunday of each month at 20:00 GMT.

This month's program features the UK Star Party scene.  Iain Melville and Richie Jarvis will interview Dr. Lucy Rogers and Stephen Griffiths, of the Vectis Astronomical Society, and share their insights about the Isle of Wight Star Party.

Dr. Stuart Clark will offer an update on the recent European Space Agency (ESA)
Mars Express  flyby of Phobos.  

In another segment - Kit Bits - Richie and Nick Howes will share equipment news and reviews.


Under British Skies is a team effort produced by Richie Jarvis, Paul Harper, Nick Evetts, Nick Howes, Iain Melville, Adrian West and others.


Young astronomer Sam Hawkins is planned to be among the guests for the April program (scheduled for April 18).

Astronomy.FM on the March 21, 2010 at 20:00 GMT (which is 4:00pm US EDT).  Listeners can also ask question in the chat room during the live broadcast.  Alternatively, the latest Under British Skies episode may be downloaded from the Astronomy.FM website.
