Americas Energy to Receive Permits for Artemis Surface and Deep Mines from Kentucky Office of Surface Mining

Americas Energy Company (OTC Bulletin Board: AENY) will receive their mine permit from the Kentucky Office of Surface Mining for the Artemus Surface and Deep Mines on April 1, 2010. The permit will cover over 695 acres located in Knox County, Kentucky.

The permit is expected to greatly increase Americas Energy coal production. The company President and CEO, Chris Headrick said, “We expect to improve our productions from 11,000 tons per month on the Upland Church operation and the projected 15,000-18,000 tons per month on our Highway 92 project, to approximately 50,000 total tons of clean coal per month by the end of May 2010.”

 

The permit will give the company mining rights in 3 surface mine areas, 2 deep mine permits and more than 13 miles of high wall mining area.
