Search for Stacey Peterson to concentrate on bodies of water

The search for Stacey Peterson, 19, continues while her 53-year-old husband Drew Peterson, a police sergeant, has officially been named a suspect in her disappearance and most likely, death. Volunteers and EquuSearch have been organizing searches for Stacey everyday since she vanished on October 28.

The founder of EquuSearch, Tim Miller, says he will be leaving Illinois to search for two missing teens, but will return by the middle of the week to continue the search. Miller says volunteers will concentrate on bodies of water near Stacy’s home as they will soon be covered with ice.

Drew Peterson told police he believes Stacey had run off with another man, but her family denies these accusations saying she would never leave their two children. Family members also say Stacey admitted she was afraid of her husband.

Drew’s third wife, Kathleen Savio, was found dead in her bathtub in 2004. At the time her death was ruled an accidental drowning. Savio’s body has been exhumed and will undergo an autopsy after a coroner said her death was named an accident by mistake.
