Two teens charged in Daniel Sorensen beheading

Two teens were charged in the murder and be-heading of 26-year-old Daniel Sorensen. Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy announced that two Michigan teens, 17-year-old Jean Pierre Orlewicz and Alexander Letkemann, have been charged with first degree murder and mutilation of a corpse.

Worthy said the only motive was a “thrill kill.” Worhty said the two teens invited Sorensen to Orlewivz’s grandfather’s home where they planned to kill him. They had tarps spread across the garage floor and cleaning supplies set aside for the murder. After cutting Sorensen’s throat and stabbing him in the back multiple times, Orlewicz used a saw to cut off his head.

The boys then wrapped up Sorensen’s headless body took it near Ridge Road in Northville where they used a blow torch to burn his hands and feet before setting him on fire. They took Sorensen’s head to Rouge River and threw it in.
