Scorpio Tankers Inc, Oil tanker operator filed with U.S. regulators on Thursday to raise up to about $173 million in an initial public offering of its common stock. The company said it expects the IPO to be priced between $14 and $16 per share and plans to issue about 12.5 million shares.

Underwriters for the IPO, led by Morgan Stanley and Dahlman Rose & Co, will have an over-allotment option of about 1.9 million shares.
