Colleen LaRose, the Pennsylvania woman who dubbed herself “Jihad Jane,” has entered a not guilty plea to four charges related to an alleged overseas terrorism plot.
LaRose, 46, is accused of conspiring with Islamists to kill Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks after he drew a picture of the Prophet Muhammad with the body of a dog. According to the indictment LaRose, arrested in October 2009, promised to “provide material support to terrorists.”
Authorities have said LaRose had exchanged emails with at least one individual and promised to kill an unidentified Swedish resident writing “"I will make this my goal till i achieve it or die trying.”
Thursday’s hearing in Philadelphia lasted ten-minutes, enough time for LaRose to hear the charges filed against her and to enter a not guilty plea for each of the four charges.
A trial date has been set for May 3.
