Judith Regan Files $100 Million Complaint Against HarperCollins and News Corp.

Judith Regan, the former publisher of the ReganBooks division at HarperCollins, has filed a 70-page complaint against HarperCollins and parent company News Corp. for $100 million.

In her complaint, filed in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Regan claims, among other things, sexual discrimination and breach of contract, and outlines all of her negative interactions with HarperCollins.

The incidents range from her past relationship with former Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik, which she claims made executives at the company uncomfortable, to the attempted publication of If I Did It, by O.J. Simpson, and the plans for a "supposedly 'pornographic' and 'vile'" Mickey Mantle memoir.

Regan was fired on Dec. 15, 2006.
