Makeshift Bomb Causes Severe Damage to Office of Greek Far-Right Party

The office of a Greek far-right party has been severely damaged after a makeshift bomb packed in a shoe box detonated at their Athens building.

According to reports a local newspaper received a warning about an impending attack on the office of the far-right group Chryssi Avghi.

There have been no reports of injuries and no group has claimed responsibility for the bombing but Chryssi Avghi has been targeted by left-wing groups who have accused them of promoting violence against immigrants.

Greece has seen a major influx in violence from anti-government groups following the death of a teenager who was shot during a 2008 protest. That violence has involved more than just attacks against the government as far-right and leftists have waged war against each other.
