On Thursday night, Spanish tennis champion Rafael Nadal beat Tomas Berdych to secure his place in the semi-finals of the BNP Paribas Open. After his victory, Nadal said, "I played really well, especially the first set... The first eight, nine games was an unbelievable level. Later the wind came and it was more difficult to play." The victory must have been especially sweet, since Nadal had been worried for a while about knee injuries that had plagued him last summer and even earlier this year.
