Ilgauskas Back in Cleveland
Ex-Cav Wants to Rejoin Team
It has been approximately a month since pro basketball center Zydrunas Ilgauskas was traded as part of a three-team deal that sent Ilgauskas from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Washington Wizards and brought Antawn Jamison and Sebastian Telfair to the Cavaliers. About a week after he was traded, the Wizards bought out Ilgauska's contract, which made him a free agent. He soon expressed an interest in rejoining the Cavaliers, perhaps because they seem ready to make an NBA Finals run. With a 54-14 record, the Cavs are currently ranked number 1 in both the central division and the eastern conference. With 2009 NBA MVP LeBron James and 4-time NBA Champion Shaquille O'Neal on the team, they seem to be a clear contender for this year's Finals title.And now, with the first day he can re-sign with the Cavs coming up on Monday, Ilgauskas is back in the Cleveland area already. His agent, Herb Rudoy, said that Ilgauskas will talk to the Cavaliers general manager next week to discuss his possible return to the team.
